Global Legal Meet and Indonesian BIL Law Firm Delegation Conduct On-site Visits to Gree and Skyworth Activity Review – 1 July 2026
As Senior Partner of Or & Partners and Co-Chairman of Global Legal Meet, Dr. Hugo Chan together with Mr. Daniel Or led the delegation from Indonesian BIL Law Firm and business representatives on an on-site visit to Gree Electric Appliances Shenzhen Branch in Guangming District and Skyworth Group Headquarters in Nanshan District on the afternoon of 1 July 2026. This formed a key part of the four-day Shenzhen programme (29 June – 2 July 2026) organised by Global Legal Meet. Building on the theoretical exchanges from the earlier seminars and high-level forum, the visit enabled Indonesian legal experts to gain direct exposure to China’s leading manufacturing enterprises, providing authentic industry context to better support Chinese enterprises expanding into SoutheastAsia.
Gree Shenzhen: The “Chinese Name Card” of Intelligent Manufacturing
At 2:00 pm, the delegation arrived at Gree Shenzhen Branch and was warmly received by General Manager Cai Chen of Zhuhai Gree Shenzhen Branch. Mr. Cai outlined Gree’s transformation from a traditional air-conditioner manufacturer into a diversified, technology-driven global industrial group, highlighting core strengths in intelligent equipment, precision moulds and new energy, as well as its global expansion strategy. Indonesian delegate Eddy Isworo highly commended Gree’s independent R&D capabilities and supply chain integration, while sharing Indonesia’s policy directions and market demand in manufacturing upgrading and new energy infrastructure. Both sides engaged in practical discussions on compliance pathways, localisation of production and supply chain arrangements for Chinese home appliance brands entering the Indonesian market.Afterwards, the delegation toured the product showroom and smart factory exhibition area, experiencing China’s advanced intelligent manufacturing practices first-hand.
Skyworth Headquarters: Shenzhen’s Force of Technological Innovation
At 3:30 pm, the delegation proceeded to Skyworth Group Headquarters for an exhibition hall tour and symposium. Du Binglei, Minister of the Legal and Supervision Department at Skyworth Group, presented the company’s market presence along Belt and Road countries, with particular emphasis on localisation operations, brand building and compliance management systems in SoutheastAsia. The two sides explored industrial opportunities for Chinese enterprises in Indonesia, local employment practices and supply chain compliance. Delegation members showed strong interest in Skyworth’s innovations in smart home and new energy sectors and exchanged views on potential cooperation models in the Indonesian market.
Strengthening the Legal Bridge for Cross-Border Development This visit enabled Indonesian legal experts to obtain close-up insights into the operational models and overseas expansion strategies of China’s leading manufacturing enterprises. It will allow Global Legal Meet to deliver more targeted cross-border legal solutions to clients. Or & Partners will continue to leverage Hong Kong’s position as an international legal services hub and work closely with the Global Legal Meeting platform to organise high-quality international exchange activities, serving the Belt and Road Initiative and China–ASEAN economic and trade cooperation.
