Recent Activity: Partners of Or & Partners Lead Indonesian BIL Law Firm Delegation on Visit to Hong Kong Association for External Friendship 29 June 2026
On the morning of 29 June 2026, Dr. Hugo Chan and Daniel Or, partners of Or & Partners, as well as Co-chair of Global Legal Meet, led a delegation from Indonesian BIL Law Firm in a visit to the Hong Kong Association for External Friendship (HKAEF). This visit was the opening activity of the four-day programme (29 June – 2 July 2026) organised by Global Legal Meet (GLM) for the Indonesian delegation.
During the meeting, Dr. Chan and Mr. Or reviewed the strategic cooperation between GLM and HKAEF, which aims to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international hub for legal, business and cultural exchange. The partnership has facilitated high-level visits, resource sharing and collaborative cross-border legal services, injecting fresh momentum into cooperation between Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and Belt and Road countries, with particular focus on Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
HKAEF Chairman Professor Priscilla Leung Mei Fun emphasised the Association’s commitment to deepening international friendly exchanges. She highlighted the upcoming International University Presidents Conference on 28 October 2026 as a key platform and commended GLM’s professional expertise in law, commerce and family office services. She encouraged both parties to explore further collaboration under the conference framework.
GLM shared its core service strategies, including integrated cross-border legal services, business advisory and family office solutions. It also updated on its close collaboration with the Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce and participation in the Global Legal Service Center project at Guangming Law Building, Shenzhen, to connect Hong Kong’s international legal resources with Greater Bay Area enterprises.
The successful visit further consolidates Hong Kong’s role as a “super connector” and lays a solid foundation for future joint initiatives to support the internationalisation of Hong Kong’s legal services and high-quality development in the Greater Bay Area.
